Happy Cinco De Mayo

I’m not Mexican so does that really mean anything to me? Probably not but I figured it would be a good excuse to share some dope latin joints with you. I’ve had the fortune of converting some LP’s for a friend of mine while being educated on the fine music that is boogaloo.

These are two of my favourite songs right now and one of the artists, Ricardo Ray, is supposedly credited for coining the term boogaloo, a music that defines New York in the mid to late 60’s and 70’s. While my knowledge on latin music doesn’t come anywhere close to the music guru, Oliver Wang, I have been a lover of latin music for some time now and enjoy discovering more artists every day.
